Description:
United Construction & Architecture (UC&A) is seeking talented and motivated Environmental Design/Interior Design students for apprenticeship opportunities. As an apprentice with UC&A, you will have the chance to gain hands-on experience in the field of environmental design while working closely with experienced professionals.

Responsibilities:

Marketing and Client Acquisition: Engage in in-person and online marketing activities to attract homeowners interested in renovation and construction projects. Utilize various channels, including social media, networking events, and community outreach, to generate leads and secure projects.
Design Assistance: Contribute to the design process by providing creative input, assisting with space planning, material selection, and interior styling. Gain practical experience in translating design concepts into actionable plans.
Portfolio Development: Use real-life projects as opportunities to build your portfolio. Document your contributions to each project, including sketches, renderings, and final designs, showcasing your skills and creativity.
Continuous Learning: Stay informed about the latest trends and developments in environmental design, interior design, and construction techniques. Take advantage of training opportunities provided by UC&A to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

Currently enrolled in an Environmental Design/Interior Design program at OCAD.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and team members.
Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for design and innovation.
Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
Must be legally eligible to work in Ontario, Canada.
